This project consists of a $419 million, 2.1 million-square-foot structure that is the first sustainable asset management project at the airport, designed to be LEED certified. This new five-floor facility will support all rental car operations at SeaTac airport and will free up two floors of parking (3,200 spaces) in the existing garage. Rental car operations will take up four levels with the top floor dedicated to customer service functions, including storefronts for each of the rental car companies. Mayes Testing Engineers inspected several tenant improvements for the rental car companies as well.

As a part of this project, Mayes Testing Engineers also provided testing and inspections for the new Bus Maintenance Facility and off-site roadway improvements at the airport. The $13.1 million Bus Maintenance Facility includes a bus wash facility, compressed natural gas facility, bus fueling station and bus cleaning station. The $8.7 million roadway improvement project includes the relocation of utilities underground, widening of International Boulevard, new on/off-ramps and a bridge over SR518 creating direct access to eastbound SR-518 for customers exiting the Rental Car Facility.

Inspections include reinforced concrete, post tension concrete, masonry, fireproofing, seismic resistance systems, epoxy grouted and expansion anchors, structural steel fabrication and erection.
