This $400 million project consisted of a new 12-story, 680,000-square-foot medical tower on the existing Colby Campus. The 175-foot-tall tower has 16.3 acres of floor space including a new 60,000-square-foot emergency department. 14.5 million pounds of steel and 94 million pounds of concrete were used to construct the tower. This project also included a new 1,000-stall parking garage and a new utility plant, raising the expansion area to a total of 813,000 square feet. Inspections and testing include reinforced concrete, drilled caissons, shotcrete, structural steel erection, structural steel fabrication, fireproofing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, CMU installation and masonry. We also provided an on-site laboratory.
