This $75 million renovation project consisted of a complete modernization of the main building, a 30,000-square-foot, 3-story addition, and structural upgrades and improvements to additional buildings. As a part of the seismic upgrades, 13 shear walls were installed extending from grade to the floor of the attic.  Inspections include reinforced concrete, epoxy grouted anchors, expansion anchors, masonry, structural steel fabrication and erection, fireproofing and lateral framing. This project has received numerous awards for its design and construction including, but not limited to, a national Bronze Award from Building Design & Construction magazine, Northwest Construction Consumer Council (NWCCC) Northwest’s best public project over $10 million, Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Washington best remodel/tenant improvement over $5 million and American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Association of School Administrators (AASA), national award for best school design in America.
