Mayes Testing Engineers (MTE) was founded in 1984. Twenty-three years later, MTE has three offices with a combined staff of over 100 employees. Quality service and client satisfaction have helped MTE become one of the largest and best-known providers of construction quality assurance services in the Pacific Northwest. For four years, we have been named one of Washington State’s 100 fastest-growing companies by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Our commitment to excellence includes hiring and retaining the most qualified staff in the industry. Among the MTE management staff are some of the most experienced materials experts in the Pacific Northwest. We lead our industry in communication and technology utilizing the latest advancements in test equipment, databases and information technology. Continuing education is strongly supported. Our Training Program provides numerous lab and field opportunities to help all employees further their skills within the company. MTE has fully certified laboratories in Oregon and Washington. The firm’s principals are full-time Registered Professional Engineers. Project Managers and Inspection Managers each have a minimum of 15 years of experience in testing, inspection, and consulting. The firm has materials experts in welding, concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, and nondestructive testing. To insure high quality and consistent performance, the Quality Control Manager performs periodic audits on all inspectors and laboratory personnel. A fundamental element of MTE’s structure is easy access to principals and managers by field personnel and clients.
